June in Review
I feel like I must say this every month, but honestly, can you believe it’s July tomorrow? This year is well and truly flying by, and there’s so much coming up! June has been a lovely month, I attended my first ever hen do for a friend getting married this August. The girls and I celebrated Lauren’s birthday with lots of Prosecco and Mexican food (of course). We headed to this year’s Edinburgh Zoo Nights, and I attended other events including the #Edinburgh101 walking tour around the city. I even hopped on board a cruise ship for the day with Silver Sea, for a day of luxury dining and hearing all about their cruises.
Forever trying to make the most of that trusty under 25’s rail pass, I enjoyed a solo venture to St Andrews for the day. Walking along the beach, listening to the waves roll in, with an ice cream in hand. The perfect little weekend escape, I even met a horse on the beach who thrilled lots of the tourists there! Taking a wander down their picturesque seaside houses, and pretty cobbled streets.
I also headed for a spontaneous day to Newcastle with one of my best friends, Emma. Showing her all the sights of the north before she leaves me for London living. Naturally, it rained the whole time we were there – but it didn’t stop us making the most of our day exploring. A day of many coffee and cake breaks, and walking all over the city. We walked the bridges, got bao rolls in china-town, shopped and looked around the galleries.
Up & Coming
This weekend I’ll be heading to a brand new event in the city, Edinburgh Life & Style. I’m looking forward to participating in lifestyle workshops, watching fashion shows, and having a bit of a pamper day! I’m also heading to the Waldorf Astoria to try out their summer berry afternoon tea (yes please!) and me and Luke are heading to the city observatory for an astronomy evening under the stars. My parents are coming to visit for a week too, so I’m looking forward to showing them around Edinburgh and taking some time off.
