Weekend Museum Visits & Peplum Styling

The Return of the Peplum

One of my favourite trends of the season is the return of the peplum. With high street stores bringing in all their latest SS17 designs. I was delighted to find this tailored peplum gem in Primark. Perfect for dressing for work in a more tailored approach; or dressing down for the weekends, as I’m doing here. I’m pairing it here with some of my favourite bold print trousers, from George at Asda. Combined with classic pointed flats, and a statement necklace, also from George.

Galleries & Museum Visits

Upon first moving to Edinburgh and was looking for work I needed a way to keep myself entertained. I would spend my days looking for free or affordable things to enjoy in the city. I was immediately drawn to the vast amount of free galleries and museums Edinburgh has to offer. I’ve now been living here for four years and Edinburgh is well and truly my home. It’s easy sometimes however, to get caught up in daily life. Forgetting how to be a tourist in your own city.

The National Museum of Scotland

With my friend visiting over the weekend, we decided to make a day of visiting the museums and galleries. Pictured here, The National Museum of Scotland is by far one of my favourites. Great for all of the family, or an afternoon exploring alone or with a friend. Walk through time, space, and everything in between whilst you get lost for a little while. Don’t forget to take a trip to the roof terrace for a breathtaking view across the city. A well known local secret!
