Colour of the Year for 2017

Feeling all loved up and inspired by Valentines Day coming up, I wanted to put together a pink outfit. I love the colour pink and have always been quite a girly-girl at heart. From soft blush and neutrals, to vibrant fuchsia and deep berry colours; pink is tipped to be the colour of the year for 2017. So what better excuse to style it as part of my daily wardrobe?

Valentines Inspired Dressing

Dressed head to toe in pink shades; Iโ€™m wearing one of my favourite Primark finds, this deep blush pinafore. Perfect for layering over my swan print blouse from Zara, additional cosiness with a faux fur snood from Monsoon. Accessorised with my boots from Dune, bag from Nine West and my little lipstick pin is actually something I got at an event for Bobbi Brown. Wrapped up warm with my pink statement coat from Debenhams.

Where We Went

I have a long list of places to see and things to do in Edinburgh this year. Making the most of being a tourist in my own city, itโ€™s easy to get wrapped up in the every-day motions of work and chores, I really want to see it through the eyes of visitors more for 2017.

First on my list was a frosty winters walk around Dalkeith Country Park, just outside of Edinburgh. It only took us half an hour to reach by car, and the estate goes on for miles, really feeling like youโ€™re the only ones there most of the time whilst walking around. We started at the Restoration Yard, a beautiful old restored building and clock tower, under the traditional Victorian orangerie. Passing through the woodlands we came across an old stately looking building, now split into several flats; overlooking a beautiful view across the hills and trees and onto the bridge.

Are you a fan of this years pink trend?
