Styling for Christmas Day
Christmas Day has always been a dress up occasion in our family. My wardrobe is full of ‘dressy’ things I rarely get to ware otherwise; so any excuse to get my glad-rags on is a winner for me! Wanting to feel festive in what I wore, as well as on the big day – bright festive colours like red is a big factor for me. I’m not really a glitter kind of girl when it comes to clothing, as I just find it falls off all over the house instead. Give me glittery nails any day however to polish off the look!
A More Comfortable Party Season Look
Instead I’ll be going for a more classic off the shoulder peplum red bodysuit top. Paired with some faux leather high waisted jeans, to pull things in a bit more at the waist. Jeans and trousers in general isn’t something I wear a lot of. I’m a big fan of feminine dresses and skirts, but sometimes when it’s cold – you’ve just got to be a bit more practical when it comes to winter dressing. It is almost the end of December in the UK after all. Paired with matching accessories, a simple black and gold clutch, my statement chevron print necklace, and cut out heel boots with gold toe detailing.
I’ve been sharing a lot about my go-to party wear outfits this season. From styling a classic skirt and statement top rocking the embroidery trend, to something a little more casual and comfortable. Whatever your Christmas day is like!
