How to Style Floral Print in Autumn
I adore autumn as a season. It’s one of my favourite times of year, the crisp air and falling leaves with a crunch as you pass through them. Is there anything better than coming home and wrapping up by the fire with a cup of tea and a biscuit? No, there isn’t! However, there’s a small gap between the seasons where it’s still just about warm enough to get away with styling a wrap over floral print dress layered up with some tights and boots before full-on jumper season hits. Although not that I’m complaining, any excuse to stock up on new cosy knits is a bonus to me.
What I’m Wearing
Floral print is something that are un-missably associated with spring and summer every year, but why not autumn and winter? I saw this dress in New Look a few weeks back and decided to give styling autumn floral prints a whirl. With the perfect autumnal palette of deep yellows and burnt orange with the navy print I couldn’t resist. I’ve styled it with my trusty extra-warm boots from Ted & Muffy. Accessorized with my rose gold Olivia Burton watch and a simple gold locket necklace. Paired with my every day go-to Fiorelli handbag and H&M rain mac. I do live in Scotland after all!
Saying Hello to Winter
As we have now reached November the rest of 2016 is now flying by. With a definite cosiness feeling from looming darker evenings, I’m excited to be getting wrapped up for winter. And dare I say with Christmas now around the corner, I’ve already been getting excited for putting together my best party frocks. Styling the playsuit and jumpsuit trends, to silly novel festive Christmas jumpers. Are you a fan of styling florals for autumn? I’d love to see how you’re wearing it!
