Styling the Sleeveless Jacket Trend
For that transition phase between summer and autumn, the sleeveless jacket is perfect for layering up against the cooler air for between weather days. Style it up with a long sleeve knit or a shirt, or even a turtleneck tee. The sleeveless jacket keeps you just the right temperature whilst preventing you from over heating, keeping things nice and cool.
Being only 5’4″ a lot of things tend to be too long on me, but I’ve found that the best length for a sleeveless jacket is something that falls just on the knee. The next biggest thing for me was having something tailored and structured to fit, even with just a loose belt to bring it all together. my favourite sleeveless jacket styles are the ones which have riding structure due to the thick wooden fabric helping pull everything together, whilst keeping the collar firmly held in shape.
I love soft pinks, so when I saw this sleeveless blazer in New Look, I knew it was the perfect transition piece from summer into autumn. As well as being great for layering up into winter. A new AW16 addition to my wardrobe are these faux leather trousers; which I bought as another supermarket budget piece from Tesco’s impressive F&F range this season. My white wrap over peplum top is from Boohoo, and pointed flats are also from New Look.
Are you a fan of the sleeveless blazer trend? How will you be shaping up your wardrobe for transitioning into autumn and winter this year?
