The First of Autumn Styling
Now that it’s officially the first day of autumn tomorrow, I couldn’t wait to get styling up for my favourite season. It didn’t take me long until I began counting down to when the latest autumn winter 2016 ranges would come into stores. So when I saw that the Tesco F&F range had just released, I was curious to say the least. I’ve had some surprising bargain fashion finds from there in the past, and it seems that ‘supermarket style’ are really upping their game. As soon as I spotted this faux fur-lined wooly jacket, I couldn’t say no. It oozes cosiness and the feeling of being wrapped up in it against the cold wind on a nice winter walk, that I couldn’t resist. Not to mention that it’s practical, right? Or at least, I’m going to tell myself that to justify things a bit better. Paired with my trust Ted & Muffy boots, which have lasted for over two years now, and both my Aztec inspired skirt and blouse are from Primark.
The Faux Fur Trend
The faux fur trend is something that seems timeless, and comes back around year on year. There’s something about this time of year that makes us all lust for all things cosy and warm. I like most others, am a big advocate for faux fur. It’s great to see major fashion brands ditching their old ways of using real fur, and joining up for animal rights and making it a thing of the past. Faux fur is a great way to get that same feel and style of luxury, whilst both being on a budget, and protecting the welfare of animals. Dress it up for a more glamorous feel like you’re a 1920s film star, or wear it more relaxed for a country walk against the cold air with some boots and a jumper and some jeans. What’s your favourite way to style the faux fur trend?
