August in Photos
I cannot believe I’m writing this knowing it’s now September. August has been a busy one alright. We got back from our travels to Hong Kong and Tokyo mid-way through July, and since then August was a whirlwind. Getting back into the swing of work after a holiday is always hard, especially when my mind was still in the mountains. We had guests come to stay with us every weekend of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which meant we got to see loads of shows. Although showing friends and family around Edinburgh does get tiring each weekend, it’s somewhere I only ever fall in love with more.
The Fringe Festival came and went in a flash. The city’s excitement was building at the start of the month back when I attended the festival magazine launch party. Then before we knew it, we were attending our final show of the year and watching the fireworks settle over the castle. We went to watch the Royal Military Tattoo (finally!) after five years of saying ‘this is the year we will go’. We were both pleasantly surprised, and the whole show was great from beginning to end.
Here’s some of my posts from this month:
Food & Drink:
For now I’m excited to see what September brings. The air has already started to get a crispness to it, and the nights are definitely drawing in sooner now. Autumn has always been my favourite time of year, so personally I can’t wait! Any excuse to buy in a whole new load of candles and cosy knitwear, don’t you think? You might also notice that I’ve been busy behind the scenes building a new website for The Little Things! I’d love to know what you all think.
