It wasn’t until I went to Hong Kong and Tokyo that I realised I have quite a fondness for ‘Asian’ style, and totally fell in love with everything I saw in the shops there, not to mention burnt a serious hole in my pocket on the spending. I was literally grams away from being over my luggage allowance going home! This was a dress I bought in Hong Kong at a boutique there which has been totally handmade and one of a kind. I really love the ‘off the shoulder’ trends at the moment but it’s rare I’ve actually found something from the trend that suited me, but the added little straps made all the difference and held things in just the right place. As soon as I saw this dress I knew I had to have it, a combination of delicate lace and vintage inspired stripes, this has me written all over it, especially with a flattering skater style fit.
Come to think of it, this entire outfit is made up of things I bought entirely over there. These candles were a saving grace. We walked so much everyday, literally – i’m talking around 8 – 10 miles a day, and being as unpractical as I am with shoes, naturally I packed flip flops and wedges. It reached a point where my feet were on the verge of breaking and I came across these super comfortable and squishy feeling white sandals that I knew would go with everything, which soon became my ‘go to’ pair of shoes for the trip! My mustard Mulberry inspired clutch is another thing I picked up on the markets in Mong Kong back in Hong Kong, it’s unlikely I could be affording the real thing any time soon but I’m obsessed with all things yellow so there goes another thing for the suitcase! What do you think of the off the shoulder trend, are you a fan?
