60s Inspired Turtleneck Layering

I’m a big fan of layering, it allows me to wear something that might be more from my summer wardrobe but turn it into something more practical for those colder days in both winter and spring. I bought this 60s inspired style shift dress in Primark a few weeks back and fell in love with it’s print and effortless cool style, and wanted to see how I could make it work layered up with a turtleneck tee. Had the dress itself not had it’s own turtleneck style (obsessed!) I would have had the neck roll on top, but in this case I have it tucked just underneath. Paired with some chunky heeled boots from Ted & Muffy*, roll neck top from New Look, necklace from Primark, and my bag is from Fiorelli.

I had a lovely weekend when taking these photos, it was filled with sunny blue skies, heading out with Luke for our first, yet very cold, beer garden outing of the year at Akva our local Swedish cafe here in Edinburgh, who were holding a Spring party complete with Swedish cider and ice creams on the canal watching the boats drift by. And on Sunday enjoying brunch at All Bar one with friends and an afternoon of shopping and baking. What did you get up to over the weekend?
