It feels like so much has happened in May, not only does it leave me totally stunned to know that as of tomorrow it will be June, which marks half way through 2016 already, but also that the holiday it feels like we booked a lifetime ago, is very quickly looming and there’s now only have six days left until we fly. It’s been a busy month, and that’s how I like things. We have had our fair share of visitors with both my parents, Luke’s parents, and even Luke’s grandma coming to stay with us for long weekends here and there, it’s always lovely to be able to show people around our home and city here.
I did lots of exploring, it felt good to be outside in the fresh air and really making the most of the glorious sunshine we seem to have had all of a sudden. From meeting up with friends for sunny beer garden evenings, to a picnic on the Meadows park, to joining a friend to take her puppy Theo on a walk up in the hills of the Peatlands over the weekend.
I’ve had the opportunity to attend several events and do some blog collaborations, including attending the new Edinburgh Waverley Arches event, having brunch at All Bar One, hosting a movie night with HMV, and lining up other exciting projects to come.
It’s been beautiful seeing all the blossoms around the city, there’s nothing better than having a picnic on the park with friends enjoying the scenery and having a good old catch up and laugh together. I’ve been busy packing this weekend for our travels, and shared my hand luggage essentials. I’m going to be going social media free when we head away on holiday (more on that to come!) but I’ve got lots of posts scheduled so I hope you’ll stick around.
