Gingham Print Styling
Enjoying the first of the blossoms to appear on trees in Edinburgh’s Princes Street Gardens over the weekend, it was time to bring out my Spring wardrobe for real and enjoy those brighter pastel colours. This dress is something I bought a while back in Miss Guided but I love the versatility of being able to layer it up (or not) with any blouse of my choosing.
I paired it with my scalloped edge blouse from Miss Selfridge, which I’ve featured quite a few times on my blog in the past, but it’s one of my favourite wardrobe pieces and always adds a pretty feminine touch to any outfit, as well as being not too much to detract from the detail on my dress. My shoes are from Peacocks, which I must admit isn’t somewhere I usually shop, but these are just the right height to be worn all day long and still feel comfortable, so when I passed them in the shop window I couldn’t say no. My rose gold watch is from Olivia Burton, and my rain mac is from H&M.
I’ve been super busy recently with my new job but things are settling down and I’m definitely feeling more comfortable in my role, as well as part of the team. Not to mention that we have an office puppy, Cooper, who’s definitely become my new best mate and puts a smile on my face every morning when she jumps up and greets me! It’s crazy to think how quickly this year is going by already, but I’m feeling optimistic that things are moving and changing for the better and I really feel that this year can only get better from this point onwards.
