Khaki is one of those colours I’m seeing pop up in stores a lot recently for the SS16 season, I have to admit, it’s never particularly been a colour I’ve normally worn, but the more I see it the more I’m getting slightly obsessed with it. When I saw this khaki duster jacket in New Look the other day at what I thought was a very reasonable £25, I knew it would be an investment worth making. The quality of it is much better than I expected before trying it on, it’s nice and light that it’s practical to wear inside, but still relatively warm on the sleeves to wear as a light jacket on a warm sunny day.
With spring making it’s appearance all of a sudden recently, we made the most of the gorgeous sunshine and blue skies and headed out to the Botanical Gardens over the weekend. It’s one of my favourite places to visit in the city, and it’s so nice to go in different seasons and see how it’s all changing, with the plants slowly coming back to life with winter coming to an end. I paired the jacket with my lace crop jumper from H&M, Monki jeans from ASOS, statement necklace from Primark, boots from Ted & Muffy* with my bag from Fiorelli. What do you think of the khaki trend?
