Southpour: Edinburgh/h1>

As soon as I stepped inside of Southpour: I was hooked on their interiors, it was like the combination of all my Pinterest boards dreams come true, they have really put a great amount of effort into the relaxed yet sophisticated vibe of this place, without it coming across as pretentious, myself and fellow blogger friends included were all walking around going ‘ooh I’d love that in my home!’ From the bare brick feature wall to the colourful assorted cushions dotted around, it was definitely somewhere I can see myself coming back to, and taking in some home style advice at the same time.

A group of us had been invited along last weekend to sample their brunch menu, a treat as it’s a brand new restaurant here in Edinburgh, just off South Bridge and a stones throw away from the Meadows and Summerhall. After photographing all of the food first (naturally) it was time to dig in. I opted for a vegetarian option and started with French toast and ice cream, because why wouldn’t you want ice cream for breakfast? Followed by some sweet corn and spinach fritters where I actually got to convince myself I was being healthy (let’s ignore the ice cream part). The food was great, my only gripe would be that although we were fortunate enough to be sampling the menu for free, there wasn’t actually that much of it where I comfortably felt full for the prices on the menu, which were roughly between Β£5 – Β£8 on the menu from the fritters to a full breakfast.

Would I go again?

It was great to be a part of the Southpour: crew launching into business and they’re now fully up and running, and I do thoroughly recommend you check them out. I will be going back to sample their evening menu for sure!
