A Look at What I Got for Christmas

It seems a little strange doing this post in what is now the following year and January, but there’s been so much going on! I’ve done one of these Christmas highlights posts every year and they always go down well with fellow likeminded nosy people like myself, even if there is a bit of controversy with these! I received some gorgeous gifts for Christmas and am extremely thankful to both my family and Luke for being so generous.
Being quite the foodie, I was thrilled to receive the new Nigella Lawson cookbook which has some amazing recipes in I can’t wait to try out, as well as this rather naughty but nice pot of white chocolate and raspberry jam from Hotel Chocolate, oh yes, starting out the new year the healthy way and all that..! Needless to say, the chocolates didn’t make it past Boxing Day, no regrets.

My main gifts were definitely my new 50mm lens I have been dying for for so long for my camera, and it’s made a real difference in my manual skills and forcing myself to only use a fixed zoom. A gorgeous rose gold watch from Olivia Burton, which hasn’t left my wrist since opening it, and my set of tote bag, mini bag, and matching purse from Fiorelli which was a combination of gifts from several people to achieve the perfect set! The tote bag is something I use constantly for shopping and hauling my laptop around to meetings, and I was amazed at how much can fit in the smaller version too.
It’s been lovely having so much time off for work for Christmas and I’ve truly taken the time to relax, which was most definitely needed for the end of 2015. Now I can’t wait to see what new adventures await me for the new year, you can check out my resolutions – here! What did you get for Christmas? I’d love to see!
