What I’m Styling
Preparing to go on a cruise boat tour down the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento, I knew that I would need to wear something to cover me up to the point where I wouldn’t be burnt to a crisp by the end of the day. I also wanted something that would cover my shoulders and my legs to an acceptable point due to the strict rules of visiting holy sights, as we wanted to go into the church at Amalfi town as one of our cruise stop offs, so opted for a full circle skirt.
This rose print skirt is one of my favourite things I own, though I’m fairly sure it’s supposed to actually be a lot more towards my knees (short girl problems) I always feel great wearing it in it’s flowing ways and bold floral print pattern. Paired with my off the shoulder crop top from H&M which literally went with anything and everything the entire holiday, a statement necklace from Primark, TK Maxx sandals, and my trusty Ray Bans for the sunshine, I was ready. Bonus point – it gets so windy when you’re on the boat picking up speed, definitely something I hadn’t thought about previously, I appreciated having that longer skirt length!
Where We Went
We set off on our boat tour from the harbour in Sorrento. There’s lots of competitive companies around offering essentially the same thing, so it’s worth shopping around. We chose a tour that was around 35 euros and offered us the opportunity to visit three places as a day tour. Setting sail our first point of call was the island of Capri, a luxury place that’s been a holiday home to Hollywood A-listers for years. After a quick dip into the ocean we were back onto the boat and headed for the colourful coastal town of Positano, with our final stop of the day at Amalfi.
